Hiya, Looking for FREE software to convert AVI video to DVD ,so I can play them on the telly....got some good free trials, but cant seem to get any freebies !!!!

 

Any info/help gratefully received.

I tried this myself a while ago Norrie and got zero! So will be interested to see if owt is about now!! I have in fact since bought myself a DVD recorder which WILL copy some VHS to DVD but cannot seem to get the menu system to work properly!! So if anyone has a similar SAMSUNG recorder and HAS mastered it..........

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))

I've tried a few avi converters, some being................ Xilsoft AVI to DVD Converter and Cucusoft AVI to VCD DVD MPEG but the best one by a long way is Cyberlink Power Producer , but and there always seems to be a but , they all seem to "pay for" . Oh well , all the best in your search any-hoo.

Hi Guys, Thanks for your help, its very much appreciated...I tried them all, and they all want LOADSACASH for downloading them....suppose you cant blame them actually,. :)

 

Jon, tried that one too, but its another "Buy it " software, its very good tho', tried the Demo but it leaves a logo in yer film !! :):)

 

I did manage to find a freebie,.....called DVD Flick, takes forever...but its free...which is good...:):)

Windows DVD Maker will do it for most AVI files, assuming you have a late enough version of widows for that to be included.
