I got the link OK - picture of the fish on the front page of AM

 

I must say it looks very rudd-like to me

 

Last time I caught a fish looking like that I put it down in my log as a roach-rudd hybrid - just four ounces under 4 lb.

 

 

Look at the relative positions of the dorsal and pelvic fins in this picture and the AM ones

 

Tried to post the AM picture - got it as far as the "reply" panel, but on trying to post got "Sorry, dynamic pages in the tags are not allowed"

Re my previous post, Whoops !!

Having looked at the weekly last night the pic on the front is of the claimed record matching fish, clearly not a Rudd, ( hint of hybrid in the fins maybe ) a fabulous fish none the less.

When you copy the URL address of the picture, make sure there are no numbers or letters after the file type IE: .jpg ......just delete them and insert between the tags as normal. The URL of the picture must end with the file type OK mate.

Being a simple soul, I just highlighted the picture and copied it - it came up on the reply screen just as it was - no URL address to modify. I have no idea how to get at the URL address - so could somebody get the picture up please?

 

KAYC - can see what you mean, but there are arrows in the panel about "record roach" pointing to the picture, so I assumed it was related .

I got myself a copy of Anglers Mail. Sounds like it is a roach, caught by the existing record-holder in the same lough in N. Ireland, but as it's the same weight as his previous record he's not going to put in a claim. It is the pic on the front cover, but another pic inside does look more roach-like - and they've done scale counts and all sorts.

 

Can't say I wildly recommend this week's A.M. - too carp orientated for me - and they've all had the 'lurgy' apparently, so they did well to get it out at all!
