From the programme blurb, Hugh is going to look at sustainable seafoods.

The problem is, as I pointed out to Hugh the fish are only sustainable because they are not popular, as soon as they becoime popular they will become unsustainable, given the normal Commercial fishing methods that are used :(

Thing I want to know is are kebabs sustainable....

If Norrie eats too many will they become an endangered species...

Or will we see a perpetual case whereby as long as humans can drink 14 pints there will always be an abundant supply of them?

And looking to the future ...

Do you every see a time coming where your and my kids wont be able to go out and have several alco pops then stagger into the only establishment with lights on after midnight and demand "the special with everything"...and yes "I will have the garlic sauce" because it looks like I failed to pull again.

I think we should start a campaign to save the kebab!!!

So ...everyone out there reading this...save a kebab...drink beer!

Seems like a good slogan to me :)

I note that he said 'line caught' when mentioning sustainable.

Great program and I am looking forward to my five days over there next year. :D

Hi Ken, hope all is well, who you going with, when and where are you going over there. Are you on a boat or going shore fishing, if by boat is it to do multiple specis or are you going to do a specific tide? Thanks, nosey barry :)

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

The other problem is there is sustainable line caught and there is unsustainable line caught, it's knowing the diffrence here that is important. Unsustainable is when you have 60' boats working inshore, targeting slow growing long lived species just before they spwan (pup) using thousands of hooks per line, yet they claim to be environmentaly friendly. :(

There is a huge row developing down the south coast where the local sfc has a bylaw inplace where they have stated all boats over twelve meters will be banned from fishing rod and line inside six miles, including charter boats. Leon has kindly posted the warnings on deepsea.co.uk and it will affect some of the Weymouth charter boats, don't know if it will include the likes of Pat Carling who has spent many years perfecting a super fishing platform, to be kicked in the teeth by a crappy thought out bylaw. Now that defra has it's teeth in the rsa, wonder what the outcome will be.

Apologies for thead high jacking.

Rob T on his new boat Shogun, I booked the boat for a Monday to Friday Alderney trip, carrying eight crew so we have plenty of room. Still waiting for exact dates, I have four including myself so far.

Bit of everything really but I am looking to top my turbot best of 14lb and I need a brill.

On the mend nicely now and hoping for my first cod trip 6th Jan. :D

I fish, I catches a few, I lose a few, BUT I enjoys. Anglers Trust PM
