I never met him in the flesh person to person but he was one of those that I wish I had met

From what I learned of him via AN he seemed a top bloke to me and was one of those who helped make this site what it is today

Very much my thoughts also.

I miss the dry humour, the quality advice always so freely given, and the missing black pudding from the breakfast menu!

Budgie will know what I mean from the last part.

I hope that the pike are big 'uns up there, Gerry.

Lol at you pal!:lol::lol: Funny that it must be me had the black puddings on that day!

There are a couple things I miss from Gerry

1) the sense of humour

2) the regular supply of the tasty sausages ;)

Growing old is inevitable but growing up is optional

I can't believe it's a year already................it also seems a lifetime away!

Had an email from one of the pred group guys a few weeks ago, he'd been fishing The Waveney & Oulton Cut most of the day, on the way back to the slipway he went around into the little bay where a memorial was left for Gerry last year - just to check it out and to see if it was still in good order.

Said that it looks as good now as the day that Trevor & the boys left it there - he decided to have a cast towards it and wallop - an 11 pounder.......... it Tail-walked all the way to the boat - "Thanks Gerry" he said, "I'll see you next year".
