I've used a thick woolly sock in the past but those look a lot better.

Be VERY interested in how you get on with them - Look just the job - especially has my pins stay on the rods in a quiver all season...

Yep my Sheffield came with one, and therefore has never suffered frostbite.

Waste of effort was that! Sold as being 130mm wide and it wasn't, it was a 125mm. It is also measured flat, it's something like an envelope so no way on earth will it fit the 125mm reel I wanted it for. Tried it on a smallish fly reel, no good for that either. Very disappointing as, in principle, it looks to be a good idea. I feel a project coming on!

They fit on your reel and rods just right and even though they're expensive for what they are, they're still cheaper tham messin' about trying to make one.
