Predictions predictions.

You'll forgive me if I laugh in the face of your Project Fear claptrap.

I'm still waiting for former Chancellor George Osborne's "immediate and profound shock to our economy" after a vote to leave.
I suppose it's fair to say there was a wobble but with UK growth currently at 0.4% against 0.3% in Germany, we seem to be attracting more investment than out continental cousins.

Do you recall the claim that unemployment would increase by up to half a million in the aftermath of a Brexit vote?
In fact, unemployment has continued to fall.

They ere certainly correct about the "political uncertainty" following a Brexit vote - but there would have been a lot less of that if the democratic will of the people had been implemented in good faith.

I have absolutely no objection to having a second referendum

I believe that the precedent has already been set regarding the periodicity of such public consultations.

You can have another referendum in 40 years.

In the meantime, parliament should implement the will of the people.

So is this now the will of the people ken people were lied to thats why they are now are turning away from brexit .

Whats most interesting is the constituencys of Michael Gove and Boris Johnson would both now switch to remain from leave if that isnt damming enough I dont know what is .

How does that link support your claim that the public were lied to?

As is pointed out in the comments:

This 'Survey' fails every single rule of sampling. the questions asked were invalid, the model used was invalid and the fact that it was the main remain group who commissioned it and failed to provide the raw data rather proves this is a dud poll.

It's pathetic that the Evening Standard is prepared to highlight this poll without first checking the validity of it, even the guardian comment section has remainers querying the poll.

Shocking journalism

and

The article is full of as many lies and misrepresentations as Osbornes punishment budget. As for the analysis it is remain drivel. simply analyse the local election results where the actual fact is the opposite. Where Conservatives removed labour remainers and where Labour councillors supporting leaving retained their seats!

So why would people change there minds

You are prepared to accept that they have?

If you can find anyone who has, go ask them.

I certainly don't know anyone who has changed their mind from leave to remain but I do know a couple who have chained from remain to leave.

What you have to remember is that while it is true that some number of older leave voters have died since 2016 and new young people have become eligible to vote who are more likely to vote remain, it is also true that people in the middle have also grown up - and as people get older, they are more likely to adopt a more conservative political position.

They are likely to switch from remain to leave.

It's the circle of life....

The thing is ken I know plenty who have changed there minds to remain so if there was another referendum the proof would be in the pudding do you think all those in the news recently whos jobs could be a risk with brexit who voted leave and have recently got a massive wake up call To what brexit really means i wonder how they would vote now . A small group of personal contacts is no way to judge national opinion trends though is it?

In my case the people I know who have changed their minds have a similar background to be and I wouldn't be surprised if the folks that you know who have changed theirs sit around in the same greasy spoon as you and are affected by the same issues.
Unbiased national surveys are hard to find but they make interesting reading.
