I think its just pauls style of filming, Its obvious he does know his stuff, Just the weay he puts it a cross is as though a good majority of the viewers are begners in that field of angling, So the viewer is sorta linked with paul, in the way that they are learning of the "experts" he is usualy accompanied by,

 

i guess ts been figured out like this, Right so theres all these difrent categories of fishing, If he goes say coarce fishing, there will be a good majority of people watching who are fly/sea anglers who like him havnt a clue on the topic, Ok so it appears to the viewers who are coare fishers that this guy hasnt a bloomin clue
