It does help that the plane and blade are both concave, but you still need very sharp blades in the plane to do that. I always give my chisels and planes a good seeing to with whetstones each time I use them, using a blunt one will just make things harder and might even ruin the job. Usually though it's just a minor grinding required to get them nice and sharp for the next time I use them.

Sorry mate. That which is asserted without evidence can be rejected without evidence. I don't believe you and I doubt that anyone else would.

 

Even a photo of your workshop and tools might help.
