I've just finished watching "Question Time" on BBC to learn that the term of the sweets we called "Midget Gems" is now offensive!!

What's next??

Black Jacks, Dwarf Cabbage & Puff Pastry!! (LGBTQ Pastry soon no doubt)

PC gone mad IMO & smacks of people actually being paid, looking for this stuff - I find it even more offensive that it's coming from the public purse!!

I read it earlier on the BBC News page. Utterly mindbendingly idiotic morons! I am offended by f**king stupid people who look for things they can claim to be offended about.  I'd like to smash them in the face with a heavy shovel, see how offended that makes them.

"In January 2022, Marks and Spencers announced they were to change the name of the sweet to ‘Mini gems’, after an academic complained the word ‘midget’ was offensive to people suffering with the rare condition Dwarfism. The reaction on social media was mixed".

What's weird is that neither I nor anyone I've ever heard of, has ever associated the word "midget" in the context of a sweet with people who are small, just as I have never transferred any negative connotations of a black rubbish bag to black people. The mind of a leftist is a dark and ugly place.
