Would you say that UNIDEN BEARCAT EZI-33XLT one in the link would be ok for tuning in to air traffic and "normal" radio like BBC Radio 5 on mw? As I say, I haven't the slightest clue about such things. :wacko:

I wont recommend anything I spend a great deal of time researching and comparing before buying anything ,you not going to get broadcast quality local radio on the cheap ones i expect ,an old fashioned radio will do a sony or panasonic etc old school stuff bulky but good I had a sony icf 2001? Did a great deal ,when the guy on ebay who bought it complained it didnt work he didnt realise it had two on and off switches lol remember the more they do the more complicated to use they are to get their full potential .

Hmm have you thought about an app for your phone ?

Have fun ,hopefully a real SHTF situation never occurs but with the UK speaking to russia as if we had any influence in the world anymore and sending troops to poland and the crimea you never know lol
