Best place to fish in a drought?

Depends on  the severity of the drought!!

Over the last three months l have caught fish from lakes, small ponds and from rivers.  Numbers and sizes not significantly different from previous summers . Given that mobility issues limit where l can fish l cannot say my catch rate has diminished - except that everything takes longer as l need frequent rests after even the least physical effort.

Not noticed any changes in levels on the Weys ,not caught anything more than fingerlings and poxy trout on the north Wey but a few nice perch and grayling up to a pound in the south Wey .I suspect the EA has been stripping the river again. Cormorants  are not soo prevalent over the last few years so it's down to man rather than nature. As to this drought what drought? All of the fields I detect are dry but I have seen them far drier over the years. Unfortunately, my stretch on the Wey Wey (google it) is so full of ticks it's dangerous to walk through the chest-high weeds and tripping over tussocks and fawns! 2 deer again nicking my roses ar dawn the place is overrun with them ,those nymphs sure know how to hide and i have plenty of hiding places to live in ,i suspect i already have lyme i dont want a new improved version thanks🥴

This has a bigger gob and was on the other side of the river estuary.
