Strange bait???

Great replies, thanks.

I usually get to the coast 3-4 times a year and sometimes it's hard to find a local tackle shop, hence my question. I remember one time fishing at night from an "out of the way" Welsh harbour with three Nash Monster Mussel boilies threaded on the hook. :D

I tried crab sticks - once!

ps It's amazing the different fish that you take as bycatch when using bread for mullet. Bass in particular seem to like it.

pps I've heard of bass anglers using (dead) day old chicks for bass, beneath a pier where pigeons nest and where bass expect the odd chick to fall into the water. (Frozen day old chicks are sold by pet shops for feeding to snakes etc).

The great thing about Liver is you can fashion long lengths of the stuff to resemble worms, and you're right Whiting loved the stuff.I still think of Sally under the pier on those hot Saturday nights ...........but that's another story.Astonishing really, if you told your Parents that you're off fishing all night they wouldn't bat an eyelid, you mention Girlies and they'd want you home by ten.As you can imagine i did a lot of fishing....a lot of fishing.
