I'd say a rig is a rig, irrespective of how many snoods or hooks it has on it.

 

I use two hook rigs quite a lot, and three hook rigs for soles.

ONE TRACE is one TRACE?? Which MAY or may NOT consist of several RIGS?? NOW see my logic?? A TRACE consists of several RIGS!!

 

Other way round as far as I'm concerned. A rig is everything that clips between shockleader and weight, however many hooks are on it.
