Thank you Kenny we were sold 4 Ron Thompson Axellerator 13.5" rods at well below cost from the manufacturer for this project - A few light modifications and we'll see if they are up to the job

Though I'm hoping to get some more work done on the boat over the week, but I think I'll be forced into some fishing at some point

 

bad new though ... the shumfling chair died on the last trip... it's undergoing a life saving operation but I'm not sure if it will pull through ok yet.

Davy - there may be a financial 'opportunity' this weekend? - offer the Catchalot services as a 'bait boat' pick up the rigs from the shore steam out a 200yrds or so and drop them over the side

already sorted.. I'm doing my ferry man for them, the price is 40 Launce per person each way

 

As for dropping the baits out for them... I was thinking of hooking them into the transom and just heading off... be the same effect as a big skate
