My 3rd oz report

Well Haji has strongly recommended to me to call into Eden on my travels and check out the "Killerwhale Museum". I duly booked a lodge for the night at Eden and we pulled onto the site on the afternoon of the 16th October.

The site was right on the beach so we had a stroll on the lovely golden sands

Despite wedging down a few medicinal reds and a pack of Carlton the previous night I still managed to stumble out of bed just before dawn. I walked the 60/70 yds down to the beach and decided to tie on a 20g silver toby as I had no bait at all. It really was a lovely sunrise and I had the whole beach to myself.

After about 10 mins spinning without getting a touch I noticed a disturbance in the water to my right.I was convinced I could see a couple of sharks heading my way. By the time I got the camera ready it was obvious that it was a small pod of dolphins and not sharks.

All thoughts of fishing went to the back of my mind as I sat on the beach and watched those wonderful creatures swimming past me.

Well when they finally dissapeared I gave the spinning another 10 mins but with no touches at all.I packed in and walked back to the lodge, fishless but contented. It really is nice when mother nature puts on a show for you like that!!

This is slightly off-topic but I am sure you will find it interesting. Later that morning we went to the Killer Whale Museum in Eden for a look around. It really was a fabulous story about the killer whales working with the whaling boats - I will stick the link on for you here http://www.killerwhalemuseum.com.au/

Also a couple of photos I took inside the museum

Sorry there are no fish in this report but things do improve for the better in my next report at Port Douglas.
