  1. I have a very similar sounding Prestige breadknife, it's probably even older, but not used much nowadays and still works fine. I think you may be looking for what I would call a *bread saw* which has much closer serrations, I have one like that too but have always preferred the Prestige jobby. Your lock fitting looks like an anti-snap device - I've certainly never seen an escutcheon plate that looks like that.

All: any joke that has to be explained ends up as being not very funny, this one was never hilariously so but I thought it was at least quite amusing. It's obviously lost on those of you who know nothing about football. There are no spelling mistakes or typos in my original post, but there is a joke in there.
  3. Germany out: don't mention the var.
  4. Got this from a link I tried to open from google news at lunchtime today.
  5. It should have manual focus. https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/fujis2pro/6 Have you also explored/experimented with the "AF-L" button?
  6. I've had to start that early, every time I turn the news on it's overloaded with wedding tosh. How long do we give the marriage? I'll go for 14 years, tops.
  7. I won't be watching. I'll be hunting dragons. I doubt if I'll even watch or listen to any news programmes over the weekend, I'll stick to google for news.
  8. Sometimes a bit of luck is all you need. Nice one Lewis.
  9. Gertrude Jeannette 103 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gertrude_Jeannette No, I'd never heard of her either.
  10. If you can show me where I may have suggested that shot are extruded I'll be able to try and avoid making the same mistake again.
  11. Another three pages comprising nothing better than complete dross and insults. Why is this thread still open?
  12. Pellets are extruded through a circular die in manufacture, the pellet size is the diameter of the die. Shotgun pellets are the same sizes as split-shot used as float fishing weights and the classification is by weight (there is no No.2 shot) :-http://www.silksworthlakes.com/splitshotweightsizeratios/
  13. Nor mine. I've already told big clod (more than once) why I voted for Brexit, I don't think he's really interested though.
  14. You're anthropomorphising, they're not being cheeky, they're just doing what comes naturally, a shame they won't be left to get on with it in the same way that you would expect in similar circumstances.
  15. Why do you even bother Chesters? You know you'll never get a sensible answer once he's trapped himself with his own silliness.
  16. A classic sign of not understanding the game.
  17. We've already tried that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bodyline
  18. Not sure why you'd think I'm making excuses for Haas.............. ................... straight from the Haases mouth:- https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/headlines/2018/3/cross-threaded-wheel-nuts-caused-haas-double-dnf.html
  19. The Kraut got lucky, it won't always happen. Haas's problem was lack of pit stop practice and cross threaded wheel nuts.
  20. "It was really close," said Vettel. "Shame Lewis had quite a big gap at the end but I guess he did another pretty good lap." Here we go again.
