  1. That'll be the Irish version of it then........
  2. Keep the faith Matt....It'll be a long road no doubt but hopefully for you a worthwile one.
  3. I've only rarely seen Cormorant on my nearest river, the Aire. Goosander on the other hand are a very common sight and the fishing is in marked decline year on year. I don't suppose for one minute that they're the only or even the major factor in this, but they're not helping for sure.
  4. Mad.....Even if the lions were tame it'd still be!!
  5. Have to agree - a good move.
  6. Haha....quality Chesters!
  7. Steve, Almost but not quite the spot; I hadn't noticed that water from the road or it's not visible.....scroll to the left and look directly under where the carriageway meets the roundabout at the chevrons.....sad folk sit there under brollies. Haven't a clue how to post a map type link thingy but the lat/long is "Puddle" lat=53.7172539397, lon=-2.67303144327
  8. Garden ponds is one thing....it isn't serious; has anybody seen the tiny excuse for a pond situated right at the NW end of the M65 on the left as you approach the roundabout? I cannot believe grown men can sit there 'fishing'.....
  9. ******......I would have bid on that had I spotted this thread earlier
  10. Have to say I agree with you on the OS front Dave......They've put a General Grabber UHP on there....not impressed. That said, I have to compromise a 'proper' off road tyre for AT's as I need to do a fair bit of road mileage so there were 4 Colway C-Trax fitted pre-bump......
  11. My (only slightly pimped) baby. It's so good to have her back after our bump complete with shiny new front axle and suspension courtesy of Direct Line..... Elton, go for it! Our Scooby is nice, fast, safe and comfortable but doesn't come close to the driving enjoyment of the Landy on a fishing trip!
  12. That's my point and the whole crux of the matter Chesters old boy....people may just be getting fed up of falling for it time and time again and could be soon looking at an alternative.....and it ain't going to be the Liberals.
  13. And the mainstream parties had better wake up to that increasingly popular consensus pretty quickly methinks.....

    Photo Of The Day.

A couple of pics I took last week during a very pleasant week stay in Northumberland View of Dunstanburgh Castle from Embleton Beach. As the locals say, they're glad it's not 10 degrees warmer there in the summer as it'd soon be developed.... A shot of a cheeky 'wild' seal wanting to be fed by us tourists in Eyemouth harbour
  15. I'm no expert either but just happened to be reading this which may be of use.....
  16. Ah yes, the old building bricks.....he tells it as it happened to me too!!
  17. I remember when sprog #1 arrived I thought how messy this breaking waters thing was.....Sprog #2 was altogether more impressive.....Victoria Falls almost. Good luck and hope it's all over and you can toast junior at 05.00 tomorrow whilst watching ITV.
  18. I'm more in awe than bored Jaybee...

    Ouchie!

Something very similar happened to me two years ago as I reached down to pick a roach out of the river Scariff......Brown pants time but no blood in my case. Brilliant video clip, thanks for posting it.
