  1. Maybe he's just being his normal cryptic self and actually means something else entirely
  2. I've never managed to get mine that well setup, thanks for the tips Severn Wolf.
  3. I believe it could be the ESP stuff that Wordbender uses. I am in a dilemma myself in terms of what to use around the 10 and 8lb hooklengths. I did pick up some Drennan double strength but it broke when hooking a carp that wasn't really that big at all. I don't get on with Flurocarbons at all in terms of knots. I have got Suffix Stealth Skin but as as my mainline is now going to be 10lb or even 8 in some cases I need a lighter hooklength. I want one that is reliable basically.
  4. The deal Dan mentions sounds good, but if you want a proven cheap baitrunner then go for an Okuma Interceptor, I used to own 2 of the bigger reels and a smaller one for feeder/light legering, i've since sold 1 of the bigger reels as i've scaled down my tackle now. 5. So it works with either braid or mono Just checking
  6. If only I had the money, looks good and you get to fish a lovely looking river
  7. The JW rod is an excellent rod and is in my opinion the best all rounder. I have just recently ditched my carp rods and opted for the Greys Prodigy Specimen to give me more of an all round rod which it is but it doesn't give you a quiver tip option. Go with the JW rod, you will not be disappointed!

    Bait bands

You get quite a lot, the tubes are about 5-6cm long and crammed full of bands.
  9. In all honesty i'm not sure, around £90, P & P would depend on where the person lived as it's not easy to sort it out for something so big, perhaps £90 all in to get the sale.
  10. You didn't want a second hand Chub Reflex system then Used at the most about 15 times, bought it last summer.
  11. Rudd, what you describe is the Chub Reflex. It comes with the 4 screw point storm poles you mention. The only difference between the JRC and the Chub is the name printed on the side.
  12. I may have seen the same episode Stu but someone else was doing the trapping and he just hauled the trap out to have a look. Was it the episode he went perching? My club have had to dig a big hole on site of one their lakes to bury the dead crays as they cannot take them off site, absolutely rediculous! When you try to do everything by the book you can't as Gerry has discovered.
  13. Hey rudd, see my reply to your thread in the For Sale section
  14. I'll be ordering some Powerpro sometime soon Graham, so expect an email shortly
  15. Rudd, I have a Chub Reflex System Brolly which as far as I know is exactly the same apart from the name mate. See link for info Chub Reflex Brolly [ 05. May 2005, 05:02 PM: Message edited by: j_s ]

    Help Please

Thanks Ken, seeing the minnow trap also advertised as a Cray trap got me thinking the same. Thanks Leon, I'll do that then I expect, is slotting the top back in tight enough so it doesn't come loose?

    Help Please

Yep I knew about the bit swimming in but not out just wanted to make sure about the bait issue

    Help Please

They look pretty good to me, how would one use these minnow traps? Put some sort of bait in?
  19. Ok i'll remind you the week before
  20. Yes I'll ask on the fish-in page Steve It's a shame the bedchair brotel is not made anymore as that would have been perfect. If you can bring the deluxe that would be great to see. Thanks Steve and Thanks Gerry.
  21. Steve, whichever is the biggest to be honest. I have a bedchair and I want to be under something when it's dark so whatever will keep me dry if it rains Also can I pick your brains about what tackle to bring to the fish in?
  22. Thanks for the link Ken, i'll be ordering some of these this week for the new season on the river/canal. Loads of crays in there so i'm sure something might grab it. Also i'm not sure how to go about adding hooks and jig heads etc, can anyone give me a link or an idea of what to do?
  23. I'm going to pick some PowerPro at some point By the way Gerry, that link is down. P.S Steve, on the Wingham fishin, is it possible for you to have your brotel with you so I can take a look at it? I'm going to sell my big brolly system as it doesn't get much use and I want something lightweight for summer evenings
