  1. I don't know about taking it easy in your retirement, you'll need a second job to pay for all your equipment soon
  2. Just had a look at the final 3, difficult to choose a winner from them, all so good. Will have to think hard and look again.
  3. Congratulations, it had first place written all over it
  4. Totally agree, some cracking shots in this comp, well done all.
  5. Probably, I've seen things like this touted around before..........and I agree cos I'm a meserable sod too, but who wouldn't be paying to take photos.
  6. Really good, wife couldn't bear to look though.
  7. Sorry I meant, personal changes, house job etc, Steve knows I was having major work on house.
  8. Hope all is well with you and yours Steve. Havn't been around much myself latley, lots af changes here too. Nice to hear you still have your beady eye on us all.
  9. The cab was off set and it was really tiny inside in comparision with todays cabs. I didn't take as many pics as I normally do, but here are a couple more.
  10. Visited the Yorkshire truckfest this week end and managed to take one or two pics. Fire breathing wheelies from a fire truck and some Yank motors.
  11. Absolutley, well done, its nice to have a photo published and admired by others. Good stuff.

    Monitor Test

LOL me too, don't even know what size my PC is.
  13. Been on holiday for a few weeks, but also changing jobs, and house modernisation has took months instead of the weeks planned. So been very busy, keep looking in but rarely find the time at moment to enter comps or post replies. But once settled i'll be back as normal.
  14. I just liked the title, government liquidisation, brought all sorts of nice thoughts to mind
  15. Mostly Terranos, and my old Patrol, but if you have a X trail your more than welcome to come along next time, its only the low ground clearance that prevents them from being a true go anywhere vehicle.
  16. Its called Peak Practice and its about taking Nissan 4x4 vehicles off road in Derbyshire on legally driveable routes. Its on pages 112/113.
  17. Just thought I'd share a bit of my good news with you. I've just had an article and photos (7) published in Mays 4x4 magazine over a 2 page spread. As this is my first published article, i'm quite pleased, and felt like telling people. Thanks to people like Steve Randles and Mr Wiggly for encouraging us all to keep taking the pictures to start with. Cameraman
  18. If you still can't do them, e - mail them to me with the size you require, I'll resize and send back. PM me for e mail add.
  19. Funny thing is when I saw it said MOD, I immediatly thought Ministry of defence had done something wrong (again), and Mr Wiggly had it in pictures, i was a little dissapointed to find out the truth. Oh well never mind LOL
  20. Depending on camera, use a high resolution setting, but not TIFF or RAW as you may not be able to process it. Resizing has to be done on the computor, and normally the camera has some software with it when you buy, that will need installing. Once installed if you can't work it out, ask again and say which software it is. Someone will have same and be able to give a full description of useage.
  21. An excellant shot if you did not use a trpod. My hands shake too much LOL
  22. If you do take a photo that you don't want used but wish others to see you can in photoshop watermark each pictue. I have used the picture here as an example with a large watermark through the middle, and if you look carefully a smaller one over the offside front wing (left as you look at it to our non driving on the left friends). Each watermark can be placed where you want it and what size you want it. As you can see the photo is still visable, but useless in any way to anyone to download.
  23. I'm currently trying a 2GB card from memorybits they have a good range of cards starting from around a fiver. They even have the new 4GB cards. I use a range of cards from 256 upwards to 2GB depending on what I'm taking on day. As i can't always be bothered or have time to change cards and filled a 1GB in less than an hour doing motorsport pics I thought I'd try the 2GB as it gives me an everage of 999 shots before change.
