Had to happen didn't it?
I was reading an article by a british muslem woman at the weekend. She was trying to explain why the reaction to the cartoons had been so fierce. She explained that any pictures could be seen as idolatry, she even had to remove her sons pictures of footballers, when her parents visited, family photos had to be covered when praying. She classed herself as a "liberal" muslem, so maybe in a few generations time there will be more tollerence. (Thats if theres anyone left). It still didn't explain why we see so many pictures of the ayatollahs etc, plastered on the walls in Iran.
When are people going to realise that we are not the "chosen" ones? We create gods in our own image not the other way round. If all humans disappeared off the earth today, life would carry on. If it happened to all the trees, the world would be in turmoil. Which is the most important?
Go out and hug a tree today.
