Thanks to one man, It has to be the common skate. I have seen 4 to date, They blow me away everytime. But basically, i like all species.

yes spurhound i like all species myself .

especially as they change with the seasons its nice to fish for cod in the autumn winter but its good to see the spring species start to show and you know the weathers going to improve.

As a youngster I loved shore float fishing for Mackerel on light gear (it was all I could afford then)I never lost the buzz and it's still my most enjoyable type of angling. Fantastic fighters!!!

Islander got to agree lb for lb mackerel are great fighters just imagine the fight if they grew to double figures. We use the little kid rods, great sport as you can not just reel them in.

No other fish in the UK, can give such an adrenalin rush. Imagine releasing a fish, rebaiting and knowing within seconds off dropping in, that another Tope will scream off with your gear.

At times this can last up to a couple of hours, with no time for a drink, smoke or anything else.

On occasions we will have all four anglers into fish at the same time, You can imagine the banter as the anglers duck under lines, climb over rods etc. Basically it's madness.

Only four months to go. Whupppeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!
