Definately not. If I had an anti-tank weapon handy when I see trawlers scraping up what's left of the Sole 200yds off Dungeness beach in the summer, at night, I would sink the B******S.

I get the feeling DEFRA are into this bass thing. Just reading the fishing news shows commercials to be disgruntled and that is a sure sign they see something happening.

but there will be less when the trawler has finished, the trawlermen do not re-plant fish to grow for the next crop do they?

i know many anglers will not have it but gill nets are more selective espeshally when drifted.

Wurzel, that was a lovely mullet you caught the other day, first time I have seen a commercial fisherman handle a mullet with such care, you look as if you were realy pleased, well done.

from the pics i have seen definitely, hes holding a mullet around 5lb as if it was a new born baby, respect due.
