From what I gather the back lead comes free as soon as there's a take so it doesn't affect the strike.

Does it work if there's weed close in?

Yupp, thats what they are for, normaly the fish takes line and the lead stays on the bottom, although a fish can through them out of the water.

When your playing a fish the lead will simple slide down your line and stop at your ledger, ready to use again, It dos'nt effect the strike.

It will just sink into normal blanket weed. :)

i dont like using backleads cus i heard when u strike the baklead can slide down the line and hit ur lead causin the hook to be knoked out of the fishs mouth dunno if this is rite thow cus am not an expert on bakleads!!!! lol
