Just thought you might think I was advertising them on your site (which of course I am :D )

DJM, not had any probs in 18months of daily use, the more violent the take the better they work. As soon as the B/L starts to move the "drag" on the cord pulls the pin out and the B/L drops off...the cord does not have to tighten.

And being all metal (stainless and brass) they should last a lifetime. None of your old crap that needs replacing all the time.

Make pretty good bobbins as well!

A back lead is just a lead that clips to your line, cast out, leave the bail-arm open, and clip the lead on and throw it in the water.

The line will sink at the rod tip so the line don't cut through the water spooking fish, eliminates line bites, and you don't have to worry about birds getting caught in your line.

Cheers

Thanks Dan. Would this also work with a baitrunner in free spool?

From what I gather the back lead comes free as soon as there's a take so it doesn't affect the strike.

Does it work if there's weed close in?

Budgie, are you still using the email address thats on your profile?

Yes, the email address is there but the outlook express is not working right! I suggest using the AnglersnetPrivate email mate as I know it my old computer he got!
