If Emz is looking to learn guitar, Big Bill Broonzy used a style which people called 'hammer on', his tunes are simple, easy to learn and good on the ear.

His recordings are still around, I used to use his 'Guitar Shuffle' as part of any acoustic set I played.

As is Neil Young....

As is instant depression :) I once heard him introduce a song as 'this is guaranteed to bring ya down...its called....Don't Let It Bring You Down'

But he did do some nice acousitc stuff.

'I've got a mind like a steel wassitsname'

Thanks for the info guys! I've already started sampling some tracks, great music. There's certainly a wide range of acoustic tracks that I aint heard yet listening to some of these :)

If you can find it Emz, REM did an outstaning acooustic set on MTV about 12 years ago.

They do a version of "Love is all around" which is simply fantastic :)

Also can concur with the others that Nirvana Unplugged is simply fantastic. The stuff they do with the Meat Puppets on that album is inspired.
