Money Quandry...!!!!!

Hiya, Theoretical question time now.... And bearing in mind, it might have happened oop narf, Scotland even.....what would happen if say someone went to a hole in the wall to draw, say, £20 out....and got £100...then went home to check the bank statement, which might say, that only £20 was drawn out...would the best bet be to inform the bank, if indeed this did happen.....might be a drink in it for someone...if this actually happened...allegedly.....mibbes..... :D:D

Invoice the bank for administration, and safe-keeping of their money, plus a daily rate of interest that applies until they are able to arrange a suitable collection time convenient to both parties!

Keep the charges reasonable and inline with the banks own charges (eg £20 for writing a letter, £25 for unauthorised overdraft fee etc).

I actually work for a bank and this has happened more times than you know. Basically there's four cassettes in each ATM, two for £20's and two for £10's. If the operator puts them in the wrong way round then the machine has no way of knowing that it's given out the wrong notes. The first time they would realise is when the machine emptied or someone reported it.

A record of who withdrew money is kept on the banks system and quite a few ATM's now have miniture cameras in them too.
