I am GO'D

 

The name is just a name is not all together true, when one looks at "Summer" one is drawn towards brighter warmer things, where as "Winter" tends to lead one towards colder climes and snuggling up indoors.

 

So when one looks at "I am GO'D" it straight away makes one think of religion.

 

People of all religious beliefs would quite rightly think "Who is this upstart proclaiming he or she is god."

 

These people would quite rightly see it as offensive, whether that is right or wrong is a question for debate, but it is a fact.

 

To me of little religious belief it means nothing apart from someone being very self-indulgent and egotistic

I changed it to I am GO'D for a giggle, any how, I have changed it once again to a less polemical name.

 

Back to fishing eh;

as someone said earlier up the board, you wont please all the people all the time, life just isn't like that. Stick with whatever name you like, and as for not being welcome because you are into field sports, that's a load of tosh too, it is your choice of interest, and who is anyone else to have a go at you for it. (personally i love going out with a friend when stalking venison for the freezer )

Ah right then i seem to have a problem cos i've always been a "hunter", whether it be snarring, lamping or shooting.

 

Then again i never waste what i kill, it all gets eaten even the charlies (foxes).

 

Then again (again) i've been on here for years (joined 14/12/2000) now and have had some great chats with other hunters/shooters and we've never been told we aren't welcome by anyone.

 

Gord, your comment on maggots..... well i always look at that in the same way..when people say "i disagree with using live baits" what are maggots if they aren't live bait??
