I nearly forgot Friday is Cephalopod Day for us lovers of marine molluscs.

Well, I had some mussels for lunch today. :)
with chips and mayonnaise I trust?

Not quite: mixed with some prawns, mackerel, taramasalata, double cream, capers, pine nuts and a dash of tabasco sauce.

Well now there is proper Taramsalata, and there's that pink oily mush they sell in supermarkets. Which one don't you like?
I like cephalopods :)
We have some quit nice ones in our own waters. The common cuttlefish is a real beauty.

Ive eaten it made by Greeks, Turks. and a Yugoslavian version, with home made Pittas and made with fresh pressed olive oil, I just dont like the texture, A slab of Batterd Roe and Chips is Great as are Herring roes on toast Caviar is ok its just Taramasalata I dont like it. :schmoll:
