I nominate Liverpool. The friendliest, most unpretentious place in the UK.

Unfriendliest? Anywhere in Hampshire.

i lived in whitley bay and cullercoats for a year !friendly means coming in your room without knocking and sitting down for a chat ,i consider friendly as hello and nothing more ,i not interested in my neighbours (or even families) lifestyle and hopefully their not in mine ,friendly is ignoring me and leaving me to my own little world ,i am not rude though i will listen to neighbours (or families) "he said ,she said" crap but let it go in one ear and out of the other. :D

i do though reservedly "join in" but do not like it nor seek it ,pubs bore me now and their inhabitants more so ,other from that i'm ok and respect your life style as yours, most of it isnt my cup of tea!

i'm not unfriendly just reserved in real life different as chalk and cheese to chesters1 :)

tilford where we live for 15 years is full of toffs busy looking down their noses at each other and competing for head boy ,go in the shop for a paper and youl hear gossip about others and when you not there no doupt about you i hate gossips silly people with shallow lives existing only to talk of others whilst to themselves living beyond reproach

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle
