John, just take your time and remember if you don't feel up to going back to work your doctor will sign you off for as long as you want.

Don't get rushing about.

Been there, dun that, still wearing the tee shirt.

Take it from me you need loads of time to recover nice n slowly, rushing to get up and about will put you back.

All the best and a nice gentle recovery.

Ferret, I have been home a week tomorrow. I know I'm coping better but oh so slowly you wouldn't believe. How how would have coped without Joan, I can't imagine. By far the hardest task was the act of getting my torso from the bed to upright and vice versa. Nursey took the staples out and no I dared not look. My scar was weeping and the Doctor had to come and see me. I'm on anti-biotics for a week and they are sorting that problem out. The doctor was really impressed by my mental attitude. I am a bright and breezy charecter at the side of most and with the waiting lists the way they are, you need to be.

I liken my present condition as being like a turtle thats been been flopped on it's back and when I eventually do get the right way up, it's slow going. I got loads of visitors in hospital and the house is festooned in get well cards. AN members have been another great boost to me and I'm very thankful for it. John.

I expect to pass through this world but once; any good thing therefore that I can do, or any kindness I can show to any fellow - creature, let me do it now, let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.
