Corn worked very well on the Itchen, but I've had quite a few (including a previous PB) from the Test on bread flake.

Trout eggs, but use artificial copies not the real thing please :rolleyes: Probably the sweetcorn thing!!!

 

Don't forget fly fishing though!

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!

bread both trout and grayling commit suicide for it

Gold head nymphs they love them or if they are rising a small greenwells usually does the trick.

I am always one to appreciate and respect others opinions but I do have to mention that if you use sweetcorn for grayling please do not feed very much as grayling in particular find it difficult to digest. That said it does seem to sort out the bigger fish and especially on a pacey river can be presented well due to it's weight and density over that of maggots.

Oddly enough bbamboo the nymphs can be fished that way our transatlantic cousins frequently fish the fly under a float using a centerpin they call it mooching and it can be very effective on it's day
