My fear is that it will all become 'pre-packaged ' angling. Yes, I know, some folk like it that way. Success all but guaranteed, money no object. Oh well, we shall see, but I fear the worst, being the miserable old sod that I am!! 9/10 of angling is about getting away from the trammels of life, not sodding introducing Thatcherism to the river bank. Regimented fishing platforms and pay, pay, pay. Commercialised, Macdonalds style angling, baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

We need to give the new organization a fair crack of the whip and maybe if it is ruining the spirit of the place that is the time to criticise. Any way this whole episoide has convinced me that my first trip to the Royalty is long overdue.

Horrors of horrors Lee. This is a recent royalty barbel caught by Lord Wallis of Billinghurst. Is that why they're called 'royalty barbel'. Does this London money man and a member of the aristocracy have no shame. Perhaps he thinks its a salmon, perhaps his ghillie is an idiot.
