What has been your favourite boilie or soft pellet for bream and tench ?

Make, size, colour and taste ??

For Tench 10mm Richworth Esterberry Boilies or Strawberry if I cant get hold of any Esterberry.

Bream seem to love Pellets and I would tend to use either Halibut or Green lipped Mussel pellets, the brand, the size and whether they are a hard or soft pellet does not seem to make much difference, Bream just seem to go crazy for them.

The soft Green Lipped Mussel pellets also seem to work well for Tench.

I don't know about bream but tench love the little (10mm) fruity boilies - I prefer tutti fruity, but pineapple, esterberry, strawberry, etc. all work. Having said that, they can be very partial to the fishmeal ones too, especially early season. Once the bloodworm beds start flourishing, red maggots take some beating.

Pellets - any and all of them.

I've had some of my best days tench fishing using good old high oil trout pellets.

feeding small (3-4mm) pellets and fishing a big lump of paste made from the same pellets on the hook can be very effective.

I've never heard of an Esterberry, but all the fruity flavours seem good for tench.

I must admit, I'm a bit partial for ANTBAIT Softees hooker pellets. I was given a few tubs about 2 years ago and they have still kept their shape and smell. At the same time I bought some mainline soft pellets and they've disintegrated as well as Dynamite bait pellets.

The Pellets that have worked best for me are brown 11mm 'Actve-8' Pellets soaked in the same flavour boilee dip while using 4mm active-8 pellets as loose feed or in a PVA stocking.

They have caught me loads of Tench on summers evenings on our estate lake including a short 2.5 hr evening session this summer when I had a 5lb 4oz, a 5lb, 8oz and a 6lb 4oz Tench plus a couple of smaller ones all on Active-8 pellets soaked in Active-8 boilee dip.

Not big Tench for some I know; but for me it was a great evenings Tenching.

The Bream on our lake eat almost anything we throw at them.

I think they have stopped making them now, but Dynamites Meaty Marine boilies were one of the best bream boilies I've used.
