Tight Lines!

Last night I got my bits together for an after work barbel (or more likely chub!) session today; I looked at it and thought, 'Is that it?'. After the gravel pit tench and bream sessions it hardly seems possible to go fishing with 1 rod, a net and a small bag.

Bliss :)

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

After a certain age, if you don't wake up aching in every joint, you are probably dead.

Apart from the addition of a lightweight chair which I need because I am getting older and can no longer sit on my unhooking mat; thats all I have taken for a number of years now. good init :)

Im going up to my local stream after Barbel on Friday evening, after the normal mad rush. there should be plenty of good swims to fish as a lot of people will be watching the footie on Friday.

The first night is usually a little dissapointing anyway.

I shall be leaving it until Friday when it should be overcast and hopefully I'll have the river to myself because there's some rubbish or other on the telly..... :D

Mind you, I woulld imagine there's a few who fished today who won't be in a fit condition to fish anywhere for a few days because of sunburn.

I was foolish enough to fish from midnight till 6am but at least it saved the sunburn :D Good start with the first chub after one minute followed by another 7. Dissapointing on the barbel front though.

I can still sit on mine, but getting up again afterwards is getting harder. <_<
