problem solved ,local ski shop reductions ,coat ticked most boxes (tried on all the regattas but XL to small),certainly warm ,very windproof ,waterproof ,one colour almost,no advertising ,almost 3/4 lenght :)

more than £50 ,slopey pockets but with decent zips and baffles

took the mrs who forgave my overspend (hers was more)

strangly on leaving the shop it snowed so we wore them shopping :D

thanks for all your suggestions ,i already had the "playtime" suite suggested by Anthony and Jims was a tad "Gamey" for ordinary wear in these foxy times .

i had a problem being a fat barsteward dramatically cut the selection down and XL is a bit tight ,the last one in your posting was a tad white and i do enjoy getting coats dirty ,my mrs would wash all that feather and down into a pile in the hem in a flash whilst gleefully removing any vestige of waterproofing in a second :D
