It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))

Not to mention the poor shark.

What were two "fishermen" doing killing a creature like that ?

Species caught in 2020: Barbel. European Eel. Bleak. Perch. Pike.

Species caught in 2019: Pike. Bream. Tench. Chub. Common Carp. European Eel. Barbel. Bleak. Dace.

Species caught in 2018: Perch. Bream. Rainbow Trout. Brown Trout. Chub. Roach. Carp. European Eel.

Species caught in 2017: Siamese carp. Striped catfish. Rohu. Mekong catfish. Amazon red tail catfish. Arapaima. Black Minnow Shark. Perch. Chub. Brown Trout. Pike. Bream. Roach. Rudd. Bleak. Common Carp.

B@ll@cks! 2nd to Bull Sharks. The GW comes a paltry 3rd. Unless they're talking attack/fatality ratio. But regardless, the GW attacks far less frequently in the first case.

 

Shame, the catch and release mentality it seems, is not prevalent there.

This Years' Targets:- As many species by lure as possible. Preferably via Kayak. 15lb+ Pike on Lure...

Species Caught 2012- Pike, Perch.

Kayak Launches- Fresh-8 Salt- 0

Kayak Captures- 14 Pike, 1 Perch.

Not even second to bull sharks, tigers really aren't an aggressive shark in my experience and most attacks in my part of the world are by bulls or white pointers.

Second to the great white according to figures here (although it does state that it is very often difficult to actually prove what species was the attacking one) it is debatable over which of the top 3 really is the number one.

Lol, I stand corrected. Just doesn't 'feel' right though, I always thought it made more sense being the other way round. I know my gut feeling doesn't match the stats but I still firmly believe in the 'Jaws Mentality' skewing the reality. I think thats why they have to put the disclaimer in.

I always listen to my gut. Now it says 'eat pie', so I will.

Probably going to eat it, after all they were gutting it when they found the bits and pieces, I find it hard to believe they were doing that for fun.

I fish, I catches a few, I lose a few, BUT I enjoys. Anglers Trust PM

I may once again be wrong but I think its now done as a matter of course once they dock.

If they were going to eat it then fair play. Just as long its not just the fins 'coz that's just sick and wasteful.
