Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Use the sprayed maggot approach, fish as low diameter line as you can get away with.Use barbless hooks or crush the barb with pliars.Play the fish for a bit then give some slack hey presto fish gone, start all over until you get fed up take your bag limit and go.Hope this helps. :D

Maggot would be good - sweetcorn (really!) is also good.

If it's so easy on bait why not try fly fishing - it is real fun at a place like this. And if you fish with semi barbed hooks and give them slack, they will probably get off at the last minute!

The first time I took my wife fishing was to a trout farm. We were given whips with bob floats, heavy nylon and big hooks. With the limited length of line that was attached the bait was fished in midwater. The secret was to push the float up so that the bait was on the bottom and thus presented more naturally. It meant fishing very close to the bank but that was no problem, especially after finding a quiet spot.
