Tenching again

Since last Saturday I have been out three times - caught tench each time although I was only fishing for them deliberately once.

1/ Bag of 6 to 3lb on cockle (fishing for tench)

2/ One 4 lb fish on maggot (fishing for roach)

3/ One 2 lb fish on lobworm (fishing for perch)

That just confirms that anything meaty is likely to score (maggots, worms, cockles, prawns, mussels, tinned meat, black pudding, halibut oil pellets etc).

...and of course they take corn and bread as well, and there are even philistines out there who catch them on boilies

All fish were feeding well at the three places visited - it's remarkable how quickly the water temperature has come up since the cold snap at the beginning of the month (53F at 6' depth on Thursday)
