Smelly Washing Machine.

Recommended Posts

If by pump filter you mean the easily accessed filter at the front, well it was absolutely clear of coin or hair.

I have twice done an empty boil, 95 degree wash, with a full bottle of disinfectant and a half bottle of bleach to no avail.

I have moved the machine out and can see no evidence of pooling.

I was unable to open up today and so will look inside tomorrow.

Beyond this I am absolutely at a loss.

I am grateful to all for the assistance.

The smell is reminiscent of washing that has been left wet within a black bag for a week or more. A kind of musty fug.

As my washing machine is located within my kitchen and I live in the countryside I am certainly mindful of vermin infestation.

Is it possible that the pump itself is failing to sufficiently empty the machine?

Common cause is a build up of all that crud and crap in the plastic pie which creates a seal on the pipe, leading to a sucking back of sh1te from your waste pipe, basic syphon.

Check that out.

it could be but when you use it the water left behind will be fresh so no smell for some time .

looks like you've done everything possible off the shelf.

a cleaning tab once a fortnight generally works wonders .

dont forget to unplug it when you play inside and its worth fitting a pair of the longer water intake pipes ,ours was a devil to get my hand in far enough to unhook the drain pipe with the standard ones

It has to be, what about taking the machine out and laying the hose as flat as possible, to see what comes out of it, do you know that the pump is working properly? I am positive the problem is around that area.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

I shall move the machine outside and remove the top panel. I will then lay the exit hose flat on the ground and fire some high pressured water through it, much the same as back fill. I am fortunate that my water pressure is as strong as a basic jet washer.

I will then boil wash again and allow to empty, keeping an eye out for leaks.

@ Barry Luxton---if things point to the pump are they straight forward to change?

My machine is an LG.

Yes, a couple of spring clips for the hoses or nylon jubilee type clips, that tighten just by pushing together, but need a little care in removing, couple of wiring spade end connecters and three self tapping screws normally. Depending on the model. Sometimes the pump just slides off the body. If you can get the machine outside, turn it on it's side for ease of access, take the spring clips off and the hoses and you can have a look right in the pump. They sometimes have a rubber flap in one of the hoses that acts like a non return valve. Last two or three years i must have done at least ten.
