Seems like a lot of money from a traditionally bargain basement tackle manufacterer - not that there's anything wrong with that . They normally seem to aim at the under £100 market.

I know this sounds very snobbish, but if I was spending that amount of money on a rod, I wouldn't want a TFG badge on it! Their bivvies are always breaking, their cheap rods are apparently pretty good, and their clothing is apparently very good indeed...but £250 for a TFG rod? Hmmmm!

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

Well you SNOB, I would only have Harrison or Normark on my £250.00 rod. :D:thumbs:

I have briefly handled one at a rod shop in Swindon.

 

Light, well balanced, progressive action, smart appearance, fuji reel slot. Nice line guides. The rod there was £249.

 

IMO thats Normark, Free Spirit, Harrison territory, so sales would be hard and then there is the price.

 

I think It would of helped if TFGear had set up a secondary name and logo associated with it, just to set it apart from the usual TFGear equipment and rods, that could have boosted attention or sales.

 

 

 

For me its a NO, not worth £250, more like £170. But Its defiantly high quality materials.

Can`t fault my Normark and wouldn't want to swap it for anything personally Steve.

We are not putting it back it is a lump now put that curry down and go and get the scales

How the other half live, I have never paid more then around £100 for a rod. The thought of spending more stuns me, however I would never put a ceiling on how much I would spend on hooks and line.
