Maggot prices

Hi all i was wondering how much some of you were paying for maggots! as my local takle shop is charging £2.90 a pint. which seems a bit expencive

be intrested to now if anyone payes more

It may be worth doing a search on this, as we had a long thread on it quite a while back. It would be interesting to see if prices have changed much.

Last lot I bought here in Essex I paid £2.20 a pint.

 

not a regular maggot user though, so that was a couple of months ago

but hes gone away(not that far though)

i come from a town between chelmsford and colchester 70p is still a jump if they have gone up or there is a monopoly arond here

I'm in southend, I only buy them in one shop, so dunno what the other 4 in the town charge! I suspect that 5 tackle shops in town, plus the big superstore just outside at Rayleigh Weir helps to keep prices down a little.

used to throw unused ones away after a while but now freeze them if not having a session within a week.
