I reckon it was the accidental capture of that 37lb carp from the Coarse Lake. It got to him more than he was prepared to admit.

That wasn't a grin was it? Do tell us it was a grimace at catching a 4 letter fish? ;)

Aha! He's edited his post now and removed the picture Steve! Its not the grin he's now ashamed of but the fact that he's now realised the blue outfit he was wearing in it would damage his credibility as a born again "Realtree Warrior"! ;)

 

When I* start my Pi$$wings campaign Im having everything in Realtree even my umderpants! Im taking no risks!

Absolutely, they cost treble the price of middy ones and so must be three times better. Only the best for the Carp. I don't want any one thinking I love them less then them.

Don't forget the 2 golden rules of modern carping:

 

1. EVERYTHING must be able to drop off the line in case any damage is done to our beloved carp

2. Hooks must be razor sharp so they dig right in the lip when the fish bolts off in panic

 

Fish welfare is absolutely paramount ;)

Joking apart, I shall be doing some short sessions on the Carp Lake this year. I had intended to go last year but renovating our cottage meant almost no fishing of any kind. :(
