Perhaps not, but the Eastern Europeans that you keep referring to are I guess Polish or Lithuanian or Estonian or Latvian or Czechs or Slovaks or Slovenians or Bulgarians or Romanians, maybe with the Cypriot thrown in for measure, after all you can't get much further East than Cyprus. Wherever they hail from they have as much right to be here as Chris Goddard and Sportsman have to live in France and Captain Cojones has to live in Spain.

 

Which part of this concept are you having difficulties in coming to terms with?

That must rate as one of the most racially prejudiced posts I've read for quite a while on AN, as well as being ignorant of the law. You can't "deport" someone from another EU country for pinching a couple of crappy old carp. And before you go on to say that some of those fish are worth a lot of money, anyone who spends £thousands on some fat freaking carp has got WAY too much disposible income, money that could be better spent on the NHS or Education.

 

Let's set a few things straight.

 

1. I am not a racist

2. Why is it racially prejudiced? For stating a fact then stating how I feel the problem should be dealt with

3. Maybe the law is wrong? Maybe immigrants who purposely and knowingly break the law should be dealt with more severely

4. Who said anything about carp?

5. I dont set the government's budget, nor do you, in fact it's pretty irrelevant to bring it up

 

Cory, please accept my heartfelt apology for saying it how it is.

Your not racist, but you post crud like this "Hope they catch the poachers and deport the lot (lets face it, we all know it's eastern europeans)". Well nearly all my neighbours are "Eastern Europeans" and I don't see them all going off to hunt coarse fish every night.

 

Why should an immigrant who breaks the law be dealt with any differently than a native that breaks the same law? Points 4 an 5 I'll give you. They were a bit of a straw man or a non-sequitor, I wish I hadn't posted them bits now.
