Many thanks to everyone that has replied, both here and privately by email, to say I am overwhelmed with the positive comments is an understatement. It has certainly given me the confidence to go ahead and work on the images to produce good looking prints. Several of them certainly do need cropping and touching up, what you have seen is the absolute raw pictures.

I will be working on the pictures later this week and will get the finished images online as soon as I can.

Nick - I'd echo most of what's already been said - lovely pics - particularly like the seascapes and skyscapes that have no signs of human involvement..

Let us know when the calendar's ready - I'd be interested in one...

Hi Nick, long time no chat,

What size would "waves breaking over lamb island" be and how much would it cost including p&p to NL?

I like the other pics but this one was the one for me.

What did you send to Chesters1?

Hi ya Nick

Just a few thoughts on your pictures, as quite a few of them are basically "across" the frame scenes a letter box format may add some impact, it will also get rid of some of the dark fore grounds and some of the skies that are a bit big. Also try to get the main point of interest in the scene on one of the thirds, for example a third in from the right and a third up from the bottom. The sheep in the snow shot and, the croft at sunset scene would benefit from this third treatment. Objects framed on these thirds are visually pleasing and fit nicely in a 35 millimetre film format. If the pictures are to be commercialy printed one or two could do with a bit more punch by upping the contrast, but you could possibly liase with the printer on these points. Having said that I hope I haven't stuck my oar in to far and I wish you all the best.
