personalities on the radio

whilst driving to fishing the other day and had the pleasure to listen to noel edmonds ;and it was like listening to an old friend it was professional and very good humoured . comparing that to d.js like chris moyles and sara cox who rely on sexual innuendo and bodily functions is funny but not all the time . as anglers we must listen to the radio alot of the times so we must know what the crap is ... i now find my self listening to radio five and two ; indeed radio two is the most listened station out now. sois this due to the fact they have character and the other stations do not?

I used to listen alot to Bruno Brooks' early morning breakfast show on radio 1 many moons ago. Maybe i'm just getting old (32), but Radio 1 is just total cr@p these days.

I,m very sure that personal choice, is a maturity/age related thing.

I can,t stand Noel Edmonds anymore.

The House Party, when it first started, was very good, but it and he, went downhill with Mr Blobby. :(

Now, on Radio 2 he seems to be stuck in a time warp.

His juvenile humour is embarassing.

I gave him a fair chance, but now I turn off.

According to "FeedBack", so do most people.

Hembo, try Radio 4. You might be pleasantly suprised.

radio 2 and 4 are both miles ahead of any other stations.

noel is still good on radio, but most of the tv he's done has been terrible, including house party, it was just safe, boring, bbc, middle class light entertainment. but his radio shows have always been amusing and good to listen to.

i agree that sara cox, chris moyles et al are unlistenable, when will radio one realise this and get someone decent on. actually, i dont mind if they dont, i'm happy with noel, jeremy etc at radio 2!

Never heard Noel on 2...but Steve Wright is the biz...always was! A bit OTT at times but a pep for my "chuckle muscle" as on any show I have heard from him..

Jonathan Woss can be amusing too, though it can be confusing as he seems to go off on tangents that even I, cannot understnd sometimes...

But never mind, I am a R2 recent convert, so I'll have to keep listening...I guess!
