Adolf Hitler tried to unite Europe by force of arms and now Merkel is trying the same by force of the pen.

A federal Europe is potentially only around the corner....the BBC article does not make pleasant reading at all.

Wonder if this means a new flag?

You know something add a little pencil mustache and it looks remarkable...

As soon as you mention thae Nazis or Hitler you have lost the argument. It's called "poisoning the well".

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

The continentals say Cameron is arrogant, what the hell does that make Frau Merkel. :o

She is IMHO the epitome of pure unadulterated arrogance.Typical type cast German you may say. God help the Europeans if that woman has her way with a united continental Europe.

OH DEAR, what can the matter be

Ain't gonna happen. Cameron will have to have a referendum and that is the end of the europeon straight jacket dream for the uk, thank goodness.

Ruled by a mandate or ruled by the chosen few, don't need working out. Greece is about to go down the e u toilet, who's next.

Here's another reason why one rule don't fit all, we have upped ours to 66 while:

http://money.aol.co.uk/2012/06/07/france-d...26pLid%3D112041

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Not really trying to poison the well Cory but that was the last time Germany tried to dictate how Europe was run.

This is their 3rd go at it if you count what the Kaiser tried to do, although that war was very different from the next.

If you look at the picture as it is painted now Germany, being the strongest EU member, stands to lose the most if the Euro collapses or perhaps this was the plan from the outset and Germany knew that without political, financial union the Euro was doomed to fail from the start.

Federal Europe is exactly what Adolf Hitlers' Germany tried to create and did actually achieve for a while.

The danger is greatest now for the UK because I believe that if Cameron gets this wrong the UK will end up a 1st world country with 3rd world status. It is my belief also that we need to stand back and as much as possible sand bag our bunker against the possibility of the Euro explosion.

Potentially, if things don't improve we could very easily repeat the global financial collapse of the 1920's.

@ Cojones---I think Spain is going to have a very rough few months with the downgrading of their ratings. I do hope that it does not become the next Greece but there are no guarantees of anything now.

why not it was their idea and they quite nearly accomplished it ,rather than "poisoning the well" just a look at history.

our royal family are of german extraction and they had the power but now in different times you need to fully control parliament and the government to get it

as germany did its best by force twice in the last hundred years to rule "europe" rather than well poisoning its knowing your enemy (not just hitler ,the nazis but GERMANS) who historically will do anything including trying its best to kill every single person who stands up to them and a huge number of people who didnt

it wasn't ideological belief that killed people it was flesh and blood

not just Germans but French (arguably not french) in one circumstance but other times it has been,Spanish ,Italians ,Vikings and a whole host of foreigners who have tried with varying success over the eons ,not well poisoning its remembering and knowing what they are capable off ,just as foreigners should remember what we have been up to in our past

when humans can turn to animals in a blink of an eye its best not to trust any of them nor animals either ,i'm not sure its possble to count the dead protecting england from foreigners but bung the dead forced to lay down their lives by our ruthless conniving self interested government or royalty with wars committed against other countries for little or no reason and you will see those in power have no qualms with mass murder ,best keep our noses clean and our doors firmly shut because sooner or later our enemies will be up to their old tricks again when the pen fails to be mightier to the sword

Such a shame when the europeans cannot get over the fact that Great Britain is no walk over, The spaniards, the french and the germans have all tried but failed miserably. The viking done good as did the Romans.

Is she gets her way, got help the rest of europe, bow down to the frau and their federal central government or else.

Horrible arogant german woman. I wonder what the little nepolean wanna be is doing now seeing as he is o linger in power over the french, sarkozy chap.

now now dont be racist and pick on german women ,just pick on them all ,as for britain being a walk over it is! a great number of laws we now use are from europe ,whist some are beneficial i'm sure if we had a decent government they could have earned their money and thought them up and implemented them

the trouble is if were now getting towards having a greater number of laws made up from europe than the UK just what do we need our MP's for ,they cannot have it both ways ,they either turn over law making to Brussels and resign or get out of the EU and go back to the common market principle we voted for, either way its the people who should have a say yea or nea

do we want a federal europe where europe pulls the strings ,a country where we pull the strings where we commit to open borders but little more or something else

The EU may get a fair bit of our exports but EU policy also makes exports to non EU countries problematic with american type self protection rules making it difficult ,theres 200 countries in the world not just 27
