Anyone out this weekend?

Rusty

Recommended Posts

I've got lobs in the fridge so I'll be exploring a hitherto unfished stretch of the K&A canal after perch.......in conditions which scream 'don't bother fishing for perch'. Google Earth calculates a mile each way so it'll be a nice walk and I'll get some pics of something although probably not fish :)

Anyone else planning a lost cause?

It's never a 'six', let's put it back

Planing to explore some new sections of the river Lea tomorrow but with out any tackle and then return and have a go on Sunday.

Not sure what I will be fishing for Pike, Perch, Chub or Roach. I will wait and see what I come across in my recce session before deciding what tackle to take on the Sunday.

Edit: Ok I've got over the bitterness but I'm still jealous. That section will be in the best conditions it's been in for a good few years, have a good day.

I don't see why it's such a lost cause. Saturday morning is supposed to be cloudy, though admittedly low cloud cover in afternoon. Sunday morning is supposed to be torrential rain, 1.5" according to one website. Phew - not a good time for a walk admittedly, but it's forecast just cloudy in the afternoon. So Saturday am and Sunday pm sound Ok accoding to the weather sites I look at.

Monday afternoon, my fishing time, is supposed to be clear unfortunately, but things can change by then.

I'm interested you are seeking pastures new, Rusty, and not going back to where you had such a good bag of perch a few weeks ago. B)

I was planning on trotting on the upper Ribble for some grayling but today weather has put paid to that it's now 2 metres and rising! Curses!!!

Oh well I'll go and hide round a local pond and wait for the river to come down again....

Ah - looks like the weather foreacst was wrong, and it's been fairly bright most of Saturday. Wish you luck all the same, Rusty and others!
