Perhaps in the next conflict they will stick the politicians into cammo, give them a rifle and tell them to sort out our problems. I have a feeling the gutless barstewards would surrender in 24 hours......

A bl00dy strange way for a government to show it's gratitude to the people who are expected to give the most.

Someone once said to me "Dont worry It could be worse." So I didn't, and It was!

With defence spending at £44 billion a year the UK has the 4th largest defence budget in the world.

Does the UK really need that level of spending these days or should you be reducing commitment to other countries and spending less?

Interesting....... word for word what Cameron ssid in PM's questions, not 10 minutes ago........

With under equipped troops in equipment and vehicles and, at times, IIRC, only 4 serviceable helicopters avaiable to them in Afghan. where is the money going then?
