You should add Niger (Nyjer) to the finch feeder. NIGER SEED IS NOT THISTLE SEED. The fresher the seed the better. The oil in Nyger can dry out rendering it useless.

 

You'll have your fill of finches in no time.

While todays photos are "better" it looks to me you are searching for a way around reading the manual.

there are some niger seeds in the mix,have got the manual out today,but housework is very definatley calling ;((((

it may be my easter reading as for the first time in decades i dont have to work bank holidays,have not found the tripod yet...... i think i was in free fall yesterday altering all the dials!!!!!!!
