Don't rush 140 channels of crud except for fishing on Friday, but even they are repeats.

I'll just say we are paying aroud 60 pound just for the channels, braodband and 1 phone line. And our monthly yes monthly bill is around 120 pound. What do i get fr all this you might be asking well over christmass with the kids of school i'll be watcing kids programs from around 7o clock in the morning till nine at night on cable and fights about which kid is going on the computer first

 

If you do decide to get cable/sat then just get the minimum you need as the bills can get you in more trouble than it's worth and like it has been mentioned before you don't get much that you want to see and if you don't get it at all imagine all the videos and books you could get on the subjects you want.

Just to say that since I got Sky about 6 months ago I have never had the phone line thing(techie term) plugged in and nothing has ever been said. You order movies/sport/porn by normal phone and if you are on the phone that is on your original order it recognises it and deals with your order automatically. Just have to press the right buttons......oooeerrr missis! Personally I have the full telly package and as a sport and scifi fan I find it great....Star Trek,Premiership footy...etc. Beware though the setup deal that you get cheap because you agree to have the full package for a year.Having had a bit of a set back recently I wanted to downgrade for a few months but would have had to pay a charge as I got the original setup for a quid.

My dad has Sky digital and no phone line and gets pay per view, films etc etc. So you don't need a special phone line

I have it on good authority from some one who works at Sky that they cannot oblige you to give a telephone number, you can insist that yours is ex directory and refuse. I cannot tell you why I needed to know that!!
